Bergman's Fårö – Treasure of European Film Culture
NB! NEW TIME

On Saturday 7 September an excursion is planned to ”Bergman's Fårö”, in cooperation with the Bergman Center on the island of Fårö.

Buses depart from Wisby Strand at 08:15. On arrival we will take a guided tour of the Bergman Center and then embark on a "safari" in Bergman's footsteps.

Persona, Shame, Through a Glass Darkly, Scenes from a Marriage, the documentaries Fårö Document and its follow-up Fårö Document 1979 were all filmed on Fårö. During the morning we will visit a selection of the legendary film locations and, with the help of our guide, place them in their cinematic context.

The excursion ends with a small lunch on Fårö, after which the bus will take us back to Visby.

Cost: 850 SEK per person.
